In the legal proceedings at a Taguig court, model Deniece Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee, and several others have been found guilty of the serious offense of illegal detention for ransom, a case initiated by actor-host Vhong Navarro. Delving into the extensive 94-page verdict, Taguig RTC Branch 153 has handed down sentences of reclusion perpetua to Lee, Cornejo, Ferdinand Guerrero, and Simeon Raz, equating to 40 years of incarceration, stemming from their involvement in the 2014 incident which entailed the extortion and physical assault of Navarro.

Beyond the confines of imprisonment, the RTC has mandated the convicted parties to provide financial restitution to Navarro, totaling P100,000 for civil indemnity, P100,000 for moral damages, and P100,000 for exemplary damages.
